Inter-Con Security data breach

What happened

According to Have I Been Pwned, Inter-Con Security was targeted in June 2026 by the ShinyHunters group in a "pay or leak" extortion campaign. After the company apparently did not comply, the group published data it claimed was taken from Inter-Con Security.

What was exposed

The published data included names, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, job titles, and employer information. The records reportedly covered a mix of contacts, internal users, and sales leads.

Who is affected

Around 276,000 unique email addresses were included in the leaked data, according to Have I Been Pwned. Those affected appear to be a combination of Inter-Con Security employees, business contacts, and prospective clients.

What to do now

If you have had any contact with Inter-Con Security, monitor your email and phone for phishing attempts or unsolicited outreach. Be cautious of messages that reference your employer or job title, as attackers may use that information to craft convincing scams.
